Tale of the Oroborus - Introduction Story Vily1

"Before ages, eternal serpents took wing across the void of space.
Upon the brow of countless wyrms was born the seeds of life.
The dragons looked upon empty planets with tears in their eyes.
Nurtured seeds fell to earth and took root, forming endless worlds."

"Fallen tears filled the low valleys with lakes and rivers,
From the world tree spread endless expanses of green.
Even as Oroborus fell to rest in the heart of the great tree,
The first beasts emerged from the radiant wilderness."

"From the endless expanses of sea arose the Naga,
The first people, born to serve their great creator.

"From the grass of the valleys emerged the first Ninjen,
Who settled the land and cultivated the plains into fields of prosperity."

"From the deep forests came the wild Vanara,
The children of the world, blessed with the eternal light of youth.

"From the tunnels in the earth below arose the first of the Nezumi,
Clearing dust from sleeping eyes, rising to taste the fruits of the new world."

"From the skies above came the Tengu on bright burning wings,
Taking to the highest forest peaks to watch the world as it began to grow."

"From the cold and endless shadows of a fallen star came the Akuma,
To contest endlessly in themselves for control of the secret valley."

"From the fires of the burning mountains poured the armies of the Oni,
Filled with greed and jealousy, they killed innocents by the thousands."

"As the children of the world waged war, their lifeblood spilled into the soil.
Once green lands turned to blackened ash, the rivers clogged with bodies.
The smell of death awoke Oroborus, who in his infinite anger and sadness,
Rained tears and wrought destruction on the world, flooding the dead valleys."

"The races sought to save themselves by ascending to the safe branches of the world tree,
Where the chosen one arose from the millions to promise peace and life.
This man called out to the dragon, placing a single hand upon his brow, a single tear on his eye.
And they were consumed in the light of a thousand suns, spirits lain to rest within the tree."
